Professor Alexis Sagastume Gutiérrez is full professor at the Department of Energy, in the Faculty of Engineering at the ‘Universidad de la Costa’ (Colombia). His research interests cover Cleaner Production, Sustainable Development, Renewable Energy, Energy efficiency, and Energy Management. Its research contributions have been published in over 35 peer-reviewed papers on journals like the Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy, and Applied Thermal Engineering. In addition, Alexis has been involved in development cooperation projects copromoting two international projects funded by the Flemish Interuniversity Council (VLIR) of Belgium to widespread the implementation of Cleaner Production in Cuba. Moreover, he has been involved in projects to promote and implement Cleaner Production, Renewable Energy, Energy efficiency, and Energy Management at different levels in Cuba and Colombia
